LEAF BATS

Leaf bats are indigenous to rain forests.  Please have a look at our bats.

EIFFEL TOWER

The Second Grade learned about the Eiffel Tower with Madame  Peters.  They learned facts and observed many photographs through the use of the smartboard. The girls then went on to create a 3d imagewith Madame.  Enjouy the photos below.

GRADE TWO DISCOVERS ANCIENT EGYPT

We have been learning about ANCIENT EGYPT for approximately seven weeks.  What a great journey! As a class  we began working in groups of two or three or by ourselves to create a map of ANCIENT EGYPT. 

We learned that the Nile River is the longest river in the world. It is the only river that flows south to north and has an enormous delta.  It also has enormous crocodiles.

We fiund Cairo, Thebes, Alexandria, Giza, Dakhla Oasis, Valley of the Kings, Western Desert, Siwa, Aswan, The Red Sea.

We have had a wonderful time learning about this great civilization and its isghts.

STRING BEANS ARE FLOURISHING IN GRADE TWO

We have been charting the growth of  our plants. They have now grown more than 12 inches and 30cm. We now have  them growing up the strings more and more.

ANCIENT EGYPT MAPS COMPLETED

Some of  the girls worked  alone and some worked together, either way we had fabulous results. Take a look, they added many  jtems to their maps.  They had to list all of the majof cities, rivers, borders, and points of interest.
